Grand Avenue is one of the primary streets in Oakland and Piedmont. Circles around one side of Lake Merritt and is the street where the Grand Lake Farmers' Market happens.
Turns into West Grand Avenue at Broadway. Turns into Pleasant Valley Avenue at Arroyo Avenue in Piedmont. Before Grand Avenue was extended from downtown across Adams Point, the entire stretch north of Lake Park Avenue was known as Pleasant Valley Avenue after the Pleasant Valley Ranch formerly in this canyon.
