The District 10 substation is in the heart of Ramirez—a small neighborhood of a several dozen large, widely spaced houses separated by farmed fields. Photo by queerbychoice. Ramirez is an unincorporated town in District 10 in Yuba County. It is located on the Union Pacific Railroad, southwest of Iowa City, northwest of Browns Valley and Hallwood, and northeast of Mello and Tambo. Its elevation is 95 feet.

The native plant community of Ramirez is central oak woodland.

The U.S. Postal Service sometimes lists addresses in Ramirez as being in Marysville, because they are both in the 95901 zip code. However, on the Yuba-Sutter Wiki, we prefer listing the more specific location Ramirez.

History

Ramirez is named for José Manuel Ramirez. It had its own post office from 1889 to 1890.
