HODGSON, PTE. ALBERT Reg. #486689
Albert Hodgson was born February 5, 1897, the son of Thomas Isaac Hodgson and Harriet Bird.
At the time of the 1891, 1901 and 1911 censuses the family lived in Chapman Township. Albert identified that he was a farmer in the later census and in his Attestation papers.
He died of wounds to his chest and abdomen. He is buried at the Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, France, Gave Reference VIII.I.158 His Attestation Papers were signed August 19, 1915.
Albert arrived in England on December 11, 1915 on the SS Lapland.
He was transferred to the 2nd Pioneers in May of 1916 from the 37th Battalion.
He was wounded January 23, 1918.
On February 16, 1918 he died of his wounds
