The United States Consul General is located at 360 University Avenue in the Downtown Core.

Visa hours open very early and close early in the afternoon. The entrance on Simcoe Street is for Visa applications.

It's closed on both Canadian and U.S. holidays.

Across the street on the east side of University Avenue at Armoury Street, is where all the protests and demonstrations usually take place when Torontonians wish to express their group's opinion to the U.S. Government.

During the Tamil Protests in the Summer of 2009, members of teh Tamil Community shut down the street for several days in an attempt to get the U.S. Government's attention in stopping the war in their native Sri Lanka.
