Sandra Bussin is a City Councillor representing Ward 32 Beaches-East York and is the Speaker of the Council at Toronto City Council.

From 2003 to 2006 she was one of three deputy mayors on City council. She was first elected as a councillor in 1998. Previously, Bussin served three terms, beginning in 1988, as a public school trustee for East Toronto.

She is best known in council as an environmentalist who championed the modernisation of the Ashbridge's Bay Water Filtration plant, among other initiatives. Her political alignment is left-leaning and her views could be said to be those in alignment with the New Democratic Party.
