Tips for Creating a Successful Restaurant Page

Creating a page for a restaurant with the just an address and phone number is lame. But with this cheat sheet you will have the power to create the most awesomest restaurant pages in the wiki universe! (and thusly not be lame says my friend from the background)

  • Name of establishment being reviewed, location, phone number, website? (Basics here but make sure they are accurate.)
  • Genre of the establishment? (If you can though there is so much hybridization that they are mostly generic.)
  • Who the intended consumer of the establishment is included? (College kids, business people, couples, friends etc...)
  • Is type of area that the establishment is located in included? (Right on the Subway Line or busy street corner.)
  • Are other attractions located nearby the establishment included? (Theatres, offices, coffee shops, restaurants, walking areas, clubs, etc.)
  • Nationality or Type of food. (Somali, steak house, family, take-out, etc.)?
  • Know when the restaurant was first opened? Know who the Owners are?
  • User friendly? Good feng zhu or ease of access. (Look at foyer, waiting area, dining room/seating. Size and & number of rooms.
  • Atmosphere: Decorations, Music, Noise level, Entertainment. (Paintings, plants, live bands, live alligators, live television.)
  • Menu: Appetizers, Entrees, Desserts. (Clearly composed, Comparable in size, price, etc. to other nearby establishments?)
  • Plenty of time to interact with your dining companions? (Appropriately busy, crowded or eerily slow. Time to talk, enjoy yourselves?)
  • Table spacing? (Room to move or is there some eavesdropping happening?)
  • Service: Attentive too much/little?, Talkative too much/little?
  • Timing? Pause good between courses? Coffee/bill/etc on time?
  • The Food? (too Simple or over-elaborate?)
  • Sufficient variety? Menu too simple/complex?
  • Overall thoughts?

With the above questions answered you can now write a killer restaurant page that people will comment on!
