20th Annual Kensington Market Festival of Lights poster from Red Pepper Spectacle Arts. Unite to ignite the longest, darkest night...

Red Pepper Spectacle Arts proudly presents the 20th annual Kensington Market Festival of Lights on Sunday, December 21, 2008.

Join honourary parade leader Olivia Chow and a cavalcade of costumed characters, giant puppets, stiltwalkers and firebreathers, for a luminescent lantern-lit carnival parade in Toronto's legendary Kensington Market.

Journey... through narrow streets, encounter surprise theatrics on rooftops and in storefronts - revel in a fiery solstice send-off.

Bang a drum or a pot or pan, ring a bell, sing a song, carry a lantern, wear a costume.

Come celebrate the return of light!

The Festival is participatory.

PARADE BEGINS AT 6 P.M. SHARP ! meet at the intersection of Oxford Street and Augusta Avenue

...AND GO WITH THE FLOW...
