ABOUT UKULELE DICK

Ukulele Dick, also known as Rick McKee, is a musician, recording artist, singer/songwriter, actor, producer, sound designer, luthier/master instrument repairman, collector, and musical archivist.

His innovative arrangements and interpretations of Tin Pan Alley classics have been heard worldwide and have earned praise from such luminaries as George Harrison, Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. and William H. Macy. 

 

In January of 2011, Rick was honored with a Gail Rich Award for nearly 40 years of continuous contributions to the artistic life of Santa Cruz.

 

He has owned Guitar Works (now in Bonny Doon, CA) since 1984.
