Summary Dick Smothers Jr. is the eldest of three children born to comedian Dick Smothers and his first wife, Linda. He was born April 26, 1964.

Biography  Smothers was the lead singer and bassist for the heavy metal band Kamikaze, a top draw in Northern California rock clubs in the mid-eighties. In 1988, Kamikaze made an appearance on a short-lived revival of the Smothers Brothers' television series on CBS.

Dick Smothers Jr. entered the adult film industry in 2003. In 2004, with the announcement of the AIDS scare in the industry, Smothers left "penetration performance" but continued to act, using a stunt double. His main work was in softcore and romance films that would air on cable television, including a full feature film parody of "The Graduate" in which Smothers starred. Smothers works under his real name, which is a rarity in the industry. His father, in a 2003 interview, recounted how he was shocked by his son's career change. "My first reaction was, 'What name are you going to use?' He says he's going to use his name, and I said, 'Wait a minute. That's my name. I had it first.' "

Smothers retired from the film industry and worked in pest control in Nova Scotia.

Quotations "I knew that if I was going to take a stab at having a career in entertainment, I was going to have to generate heat. [...] For me to light myself on fire for the world to see, I needed to douse myself in gasoline. Dick Smothers, Jr. going out and releasing a CD of his music is not news. The closest you can get to breaking the law in the eyes of the public, without actually breaking the law, is to do porn"
