On April 22, 2013 at 6:00 PM, the League of Women Voters of Oakland will sponsor one of their monthly monthly HOT TOPICS round table discussions to inform members and the public and to seek ways we can come together to address important issues facing our community.

This month's topic is "Technology Comes to Oakland:"

"As more technology based companies move to Oakland, more products are being designed to improve public processes. How will this impact our city? The City of Oakland has been selected to participate in the 2013 Code for America program to help cut costs, increase efficiency, and provide better service to the public related procurement and contracting processes and FOIA requests."
