Oakland Wiki has the potential to serve as a clearinghouse for uncovering misconduct in Oakland. This page is an attempt to bring poor official behavior to light and in doing so, serve in a watchdog capacity as well as give citizens tools for remedying the situation. These remedies can include things like information on how to contact elected officials, information on candidates newly running for office, how to participate in local government, information on boards and commissions, ways to participate outside of government channels and more. In other words, this is both a place to show what's not working AND a place to help make it right.
