CC SA-BY Our OaklandLakeshore Produce began as Farmer Joe's about 1973, run by Joe Sasso, at 3260 Lakeshore. Sasso also ran a produce stand at College and Chabot in Rockridge. 1
This Farmer Joe's is unrelated to the two Farmer Joe's on MacArthur and Fruitvale, which began in 1994. Sometime in the 1980s, Farmer Joe's was sold and became Lakeshore Produce.
In 2016, Lakeshore Produce moved to 3312 Lakeshore.
