5th Annual Manzanita Community Peace Walk –
On Thursday, April 2,2015 Oakland Parks & Recreation’s Manzanita Recreation Center will partner with Oakland Community Organizations, Manzanita Seed Elementary and Manzanita Community School to host the 5th annual Manzanita Community Peace Walk promoting peace, understanding and communication. This free event is open to the public and starts at Manzanita School Campus, 2409 East 27th Street, at 4:30 p.m. and will conclude at Manzanita Recreation Center, 2701 22nd Avenue, at 6:30 p.m. City Councilmember Noel Gallo, Oakland Unified School District Board members, OUSD Police, Oakland Police Chief Whent and OPD staff will be present.
