Leamers celebrate golden anniversary
SARANAC LAKE — Frank and Mildred Leamer of Lower Saranac Lake celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Friday.
The Leamers, formerly of Summit, N.J., have been summer residents of Saranac Lake for 20 years, and frequent visitors to the area for many years before they acquired their summer home.
Mr. Leamer, former personnel director of Bell Telephone Laboratories in Murray Hill, N.J., and Mrs. Leamer will move into their new winter home in Sun City, Ariz., in November.
The anniversary celebration took place on Friday evening at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Robert North.
Many out of town guests attended, including Mrs. Leamer's brother and sister and their spouses who flew in from Iowa.
Local guests included Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Harley, Mr. and Mrs. Jacques DeMattos of Bloomingdale Road, Mr. and Mrs. Mott Chapin of Lake Kiwassa, Mr. and Mrs. William Hanes of Lower Saranac Lake, Mrs. Ben Burns of Upper Saranac Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Davidson.
