According to his WWI draft registration card, in June 1917 he was working as a Tire Builder at Morgan and Wright, in Detroit, Michigan. In the 1920 U.S. Census, he is still found in Detroit, working as a Tire Builder in a tire factor (still single, as of Jan. 1920). He appears to have married Florence, who was born in New York, later in the year 1920 (the place of marriage is not yet known).
In the 1930 U.S. Census, he is found living back in Tupper Lake, Franklin Co., NY, working as a laborer for a private company. He and his wife are both buried in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
