OVERVIEW

Pages Past-Used & Rare Books is a small, rare, and independent bookstore, and has been in business since 1996. They claim to hold the oldest books in Greensboro. Pages Past-Used & Rare Books also has a furry mascot, a black dog named Watson, and serves coffee to visitors. Only about 20% of their stock is available online, but new stock is shelved daily.

SELECTION

Pages Past-Used & Rare Books specializes in North Caroliniana, Virginiana, Civil War, Old Leather, Christianity, Eastern and Western Philosophies books. They have over 15,000 to 20,000 volumes in their shop, and their selection consists of antiquarian volumes and scholarly books. The books are mostly hardback, dating as far back as the 1600s. The books mostly range from the 18th century to the early 20th century. Pricing usually ranges from 1 to 20 dollars. However, they also offer collectible books. Books can be donated, or purchased online, centralized here. They have storefronts on eBay, Amazon, Alibris, Abebooks, and Biblio, and sell books under the seller name Woodlandswalker.

EVENTS

Pages Past-Used & Rare Books offers an annual book sale every October, celebrating their anniversary. The sale lasts three days, and discounts can run from 30% to 75% off. October 2020 will be their 24th anniversary. Discounts increase as the sale continues, but do not apply to telephone or online orders. More information can be found on their Facebook site here.
