The Leonard J. Kaplan Wellness Center is located of the campus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. As a newly built, three story gym, the Kaplan Wellness Center offers a variety of programs and activities. 

History:

Leonard and Tobee Kaplan established a foundation and gave a donation of 5 million dollars to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The Kaplan Wellness Center started construction in 2014, and opened in the Fall of 2017. The gym was designed by architect Walter Robbs who won the North Carolina State Building Commission Excellence in Design Award. 

Connection to UNCG:

The Kaplan Wellness Center functions as the main gym to UNCG. Students can go to the gym to unwind, work out, play basketball and compete in events with other students.

Activities:

Some activities that the Kaplan Wellness Center offers are personal training programs,  group fitness classes, a pool, two multipurpose gyms, two racquetball courts, a sauna, a rock climbing wall, and many other activities and programs. Also offered are intramural sports in tennis, softball, and volleyball. The Kaplan Wellness Center also offers equipment checkout for ping pong and pool.

Hours and Address:

The Kaplan Wellness Center is open seven days a week with hours, Monday through Thursday 6am-10pm, Friday 6am-8pm, Saturday 10am-6pm, and Sunday 10am-8pm. For students living in the newly built Spartan Village, the gym is just a short walk away. The gym is located at 1301 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27403.
