HISTORY

James B. Dudley High School, named after James Benson Dudley, was started in 1929.  The first alumni association was created in 1975 by Richard Bowling from class of 1957. The members of each graduating class found it hard to gather members to come back for reunions. There was a lot of time invested in phone calls, flyers, and word of mouth by each class to have a successful reunion celebration. Richard Bowling of class of 1957 came up with a why to help each class to have a successful celebration. Each graduating class would come together in a joint effort to organize an annual reunion.  This was the start of James B. Dudley High School Consolidated Reunion. Richard Bowling and others formed a steering committee to plan the event which happened on July 24,1976
