Cheesecakes by Alex was founded after owner, Chef Alex Amoroso perfected his cheesecake recipe. Using a trial and error method. In 2002, Alex’s mother-in-law requested that he make a cheesecake. He was unsatisfied with what he’d produced, so he challenged himself to redo the cheesecake until his recipe was perfected. To read Alex’s full account of the history, follow this link.

Cheesecakes by Alex currently has 22 cheesecake flavors on their menu including: 

  • NY Style

  • Chocolate Brownie Turtle

  • Chocolate Chip Mint

  • Peanut Butter Cup

  • Strawberries and Cream

  • Butter Pecan 

They also offer a cheesecake sampler option for those who are just a little indecisive. The sampler includes 8 flavors: NY Style, Key Lime, Pumpkin, Chocolate Raz, Pineapple, Chocolate Chip Mint, Simply Chocolate, & Kahlua® Espresso. Cheesecakes by Alex currently has two locations. The Greensboro store is located at 315 S Elm St, Greensboro, NC 27401. Their hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. 

The Winston-Salem store is located at 625 N Trade St NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27101. Their hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 10:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
