Doctorate of Philosophy in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, minor in Educational Leadership Studies from West Virginia University

Master's degree in Differentiated Instruction-Gifted Education from Canisius College

Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education from Canisius College

Biography


2003 Kiel attended Canisius College and graduate in 2007. Dr. Illg started teaching in 2007 as a health and physical education teacher in the Amherst Central School District. He also returned to Canisius for Master's degree he completed in 2009.

2010 Kiel began work as a graduate teaching assistant as West Virginia University as he worked towards his doctorate there until 2013. From 2013-2019 Dr. Illg worked at Amherst High School as assistant dean of students and assistant athletic director. 

From 2019 to 2022 Kiel served as Assistant Superintendent for Lackawanna City Schools. As Assistant Superintendent, some of Dr. Illg’s responsibilities include the recruitment and hiring of all district personnel, and the supervision of the Health, Physical Education and Wellness, Athletics; and Pathways to Technology HOPE and RACE programs. 

July 1st, 2022 Kiel began his tenure as Attica Central School District's Superintendent.
