Biography


Born in Warner, New Hampshire, Achsa was an educator and moved to Attica with her husband on July 21, 1821 and they built a federal style home there. She was the first to plant a flower garden within the village which gained fame though out the local area. She wished for her home to be demolished after her death. The house was destroyed all but one room which is today the entrance to the Attica Historical Society Museum.
