Donna Kay Lasinski is a member of the Ann Arbor Public Schools Board of Education. She was elected in 2014 for a term that runs through 2018, and serves as the board's treasurer. In August 2015 she formed a campaign committee to run in 2016 for state representative in the 52nd District, an office currently held by Gretchen Driskell. Driskell, a Democrat, is running for the 7th Congressional District in 2016.
Lasinski is founder and president of ThinkStretch LLC, an Ann Arbor firm that developed and markets the ThinkStretch Summer Learning Program. Lasinski also is author of the Parent Guide to Summer.
Prior to her election to the AAPS board, Lasinski was active in the school district, including several leadership roles in the PTO.
She is married to Michael Lasinski, CEO of 284Partners, and lives in Scio Township. The couple has three sons: Alec, Nate and Jack.

August 2015: Forms a campaign committee to run in 2016 for state representative in the 52nd District, an office currently held by Gretchen Driskell. Driskell, a Democrat, is running for the 7th Congressional District in 2016. Lasinski's campaign treasurer is Norman Herbert, retired University of Michigan treasurer.
Nov. 4, 2014: Wins election to the Ann Arbor Public Schools Board of Education. Four seats were contested by 10 candidates: Incumbents Susan Baskett and Christine Stead, as well as Lasinski, Patricia Manley, Jeffery Harrold, Jack Panitch, Deirdre Piper, Hunter Van Valkenburgh, Don Wilkerson and Roland Zullo. Lasinski received 15,794 votes (13.85%), coming in second in the field of 10 candidates. Also elected were Baskett, Stead and Manley.
2013-2014: Serves on AAPS Superintendent Jeanice Swift's Blue Ribbon Advisory Committee.
2013: Serves on the Citizens Millage Committee Leadership Board for the AAPS capital millage proposal.
2011: Serves on the Washtenaw County Leadership Board for the countywide special education millage proposal.
2010-2013: Serves as chair of the AAPS PTO Council, which represents all 33 Ann Arbor Public Schools.
2010: Serves on the Citizens Millage Committee Leadership Board for the AAPS technology bond proposal.
2009: Launches the ThinkStretch Summer Learning Program.
2004-2008: Serves as president of the Haisley Elementary School PTO.
